Mike Kinkead honored for his service
Members of the Centralia Park Board have unanimously decided to honor a member who has ceaselessly donated his time to Centralia’s parks for more than 20 years.
During their January 19 meeting at the Centralia Recreation Center the board voted to dedicate the soon-to be rebuilt and renovated club house at the Centralia Community Golf Course to Mike Kinkead, the board’s longest-serving president.
The resolution reads: “…the Centralia Park Board has voted to approve the dedication of the renovated Clubhouse at the Centralia Community Golf Course in honor of Michael A. Kinkead. Henceforth, the clubhouse at the Centralia Community Golf Course will be known as the Michael A. Kinkead Clubhouse. This resolution is in recognition of the twenty five plus years of service as a member of the Centralia Park Board and twenty plus years of service as president of the Centralia Park Board.
