Jennifer Lee Sullivan, 75, of Sturgeon, Missouri, wife of Jerry Sullivan and mother to Jeff Sharp, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be 10-11am, Wednesday, March 29th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 903 Bernadette Drive Columbia, Missouri. With Mass of Christian burial at 11am. Burial will follow in Mount Horeb Cemetery Sturgeon, Missouri.
Jennifer was born September 1, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Otha Jackson and Doris L. (Mason) Stone. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Sturgeon, where she attended school, graduating from Sturgeon High School in 1965. After graduation, she worked for State Farm Insurance before moving to Slater, Missouri where she worked as a teacher’s aide. Returning to Sturgeon, she worked for Square D and Shelter Insurance before retiring. In 1983, she married Jerry E. Sullivan in Fulton, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry of the home; son, Jeff Sharp of Columbia, Missouri; mother, Doris Stone of Moberly, Missouri; brother, O.J. (Patty) Stone of Rocheport, Missouri; 4 step-children, 12 step-grandchildren, 21 step-great grandchildren, and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Otha “Jack” Stone; sister, Jacqueline Thornhill; brother, Anthony Stone; and a step-grandchild, Jake.
Jennifer had a natural skill in arts & crafts, making many beautiful gifts and cards for family and friends. She also had a love for animals, especially all of her dogs over the years. Her greatest love was family and special friends. We will always keep her memory in our hearts.
