Margaret “Peggy” Lee McAllister, 76, of Thompson, formerly of Minnesota, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Thompson.
Graveside Services will be held at a later date.
Peggy was born on April 10, 1946, in St. Louis, the daughter of Bernard and Florence (Reid) Redington. She married Larry McAllister on June 19, 1965. He preceded her in death in November of 1988.
She enjoyed gardening and photography. Peggy loved her dogs, family heritage and to embroidery.
Peggy is survived by one son, Paul (Sarah) McAllister of Ann Arbor, MI; three daughters, Susan (Derek) Erhart of O’Fallon, Kelly (Mike) Hulse of Wentzville and Melanie Dollens of Thompson; 14 grandchildren, Katie, Michael, Cameron, Tesslyn, Eadaoin (Brendan), Deaglan (Amelia), Josh, Christopher, Tristan, Aonghus, Morghan, Connor, Laura and Lawrence; one great-granddaughter, Jillian; one great-grandson, Fionnlagh; one brother, Ed (Sandy) Redington of NC; one sister, Pat Redington of FL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peggy moved to Minnesota in 2005 and married David Jones, who survives. She is survived by four step-children, Jeff (Kris) Jones, Becky Hunder, Dave (Chris) Fulcher and John Jones along with all of their families from Minnesota.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry McAllister; two sons, Gary McAllister and Lawrence McAllister; great-grandson, Jake; brother, Lawrence Redington; and son-in-law, Andy Dollens.
