Rebecca Jo McCollum, 87, of Centralia died Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2023, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia. A graveside service was held 1:30 PM Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Vandalia City Cemetery in Vandalia, MO.
Becky Jo was born on January 12, 1936, in Perry, MO, the daughter of Otis A. and Mary Agnes (Murphy) Myers.
On April 13, 1955, in Perry, MO Becky Jo married Robert McCollum, and he preceded her in death.
Becky Jo is survived by her children, Greg McCollum and wife Kim of Centralia, Roger McCollum of Rocky Mount, MO, Janet McCollum of Centralia, Patrick McCollum and wife Teresa of Columbia; grandchildren, Jason McCollum (Kate), Matthew McCollum (Kim), Josh McCollum, Stephen McCollum-Roberts (John), Adam McCollum, Amber Francis (Jason), Landon McDowell (Michelle), Brady McDowell, Meghan McCollum (Drew Goser), Elizabeth McCollum-Jones (Zach); 10 great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Robert, Becky Jo was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Pat Myers, Otis Myers, Jr., James Myers, Bernard Myers, Nellie Brandstetter, Catherine Carter, Ellen Rowld, Joyce Winfree.
Becky Jo was a longtime member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Centralia.
She and her husband were lifelong farmers in the Vandalia area.
Her greatest joy in life was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
