James Henry Rogers

James Henry Rogers, 78, Hallsville, MO passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, MO. He was born March 23, 1946, in Webb City, MO the son of the late Thomas M. Rogers and Bessie (Johnson) Rogers. On May 11, 1968, he was united in marriage to Elaine (Blakemore) Rogers.

In addition to his wife Elaine of 55 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter Tasha Shiverdecker and her husband Michael of Hallsville, MO; two brothers Robert Rogers of Jefferson City, MO and Jerry Rogers and his wife Mary of Mexico, MO; three grandchildren Austin Shiverdecker, Alyssa Shiverdecker and Kayla Owen; one great grandchild Boden; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, his son Devin Rogers and one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

James served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He worked in galvanizing at A.B. Chance Company in Centralia for over 30 years. He enjoyed playing his guitar, music, fishing, hunting and playing online video games with his grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be announced at a later date at the Perche Cemetery near Clark, MO.
