Leota (Nolte) Rumans, 88, passed away Sept 14, 2024 at her residence in Joplin, MO.
Leota was born November 30, 1935 in a farmhouse about 8 miles southwest of Centralia, MO to Julius 
Nolte and Electra (Edwards) Nolte. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1953 and moved to Columbia, MO to work for State Farm. She married Wayne Rumans August 10, 1957. They were inseparable for 66 years until his recent passing. Leota was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marvin Nolte; sister, Evelyn Robertson and her husband. She is survived by two sons; Scott Rumans (Carion) of Milo, MO and Dr. Todd Rumans (Laura) of Batesville, AR; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services were held Sept 18, 2024 at Church of Christ in Nevada, Mo. Burial at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, MO.
