At 9:56 p.m. with all 44 of Boone County precincts complete, according to the county clerk’s website and a 24.54 percent voter turnout. John Martin has won the Republican primary for District 44, 2,755 votes to Bryce Beal’s 1,744. In the county treasure’s race Dustin Stanton earned 11,220 votes in the Republican primary
while Jenna Redel earned 12,627. In the Sheriff’s Democratic primary, Dwayne Carey earned 10,943 to Charles Blairs 2,388. In Boone County, Constitutional Amendment 1 received 17,113 No votes and 13,334 Yes votes. Amendment 4 received 16,636 No votes and 13,372 Yes votes. 15,629 Republican ballots were cast. 14,665 Democratic party ballots were cast. In the Republican primary for Northern District commissioner, Cheri Toalson Reisch earned 5,018 votes. In the Democratic primary for Northern District commissioner, Janet Thompson earned 4,687 votes.
In Audrain County, 21.73 percent of the registered voters voted.
Statewide, Amendment 1, which sought to provide tax relief to daycare businesses failed 592,719 to 490,220.
Amendment 4, which allows Missouri’s General Assembly to increase the minimum funding for the Kansas City Police Department, passed, 549,116 to 523,796.
