Lorna Fay Spires, 85 of Columbia died Thursday, September 8, 2022, at South Hampton Place in Columbia.
Graveside services were 3:00 PM Monday, September 12, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia.
Visitation was held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday, September 12, 2022, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia.
Lorna was born on October 16, 1936, the daughter of Ernest and Ila (Roberts) Reeves.
Lorna married the love of her life William Fred Spires in 1961 and he preceded her in death on October 17, 2002.
Lorna is survived by a daughter, Kelly Spires of Columbia, a son Stephen Spires and wife Tessa of Hallsville; grandchildren, Sophia and Benjamin Spires; siblings, Lonnie Reeves, and Nelda Bosch.
Along with her husband, Lorna was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, Charles Reeves, Shirley Gilmore, Jean Moon, Larry Reeves, and Cheryl Bohlen; two nephews, Randy Moon, and Ronnie Reeves.
Lorna was a talented seamstress, enjoyed her flower garden, decorating, telling stories, visiting with family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren, and especially traveling with and helping her husband with his carpentry business. She was a very selfless person, always caring for others before herself.
