LT. Col, Jack W. Alton, 79 of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away April 14, 2024, at the Fayetteville Veterans Administration Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Glendale Memorial Cemetery in Centralia.
Jack was born April 19, 1944, the son of the late Jack W. Alton, Sr and Helen (Jones) Alton.
Jack is survived by his wife Janet, son Todd (Sharon), granddaughter Kylie, sister Lora Alton Marksbury, nephew John Marksbury and niece Julie Cazales.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jack served for 20 years in United States Air Force. He flew in Viet Nam and was awarded several commendations throughout his career. Jack continued training Air Force pilots from all over the world for another 18 years at Little Rock Air Force Base following his retirement.
Jack played football and graduated from the University of Missouri. He attended Centralia High School lettering in Football, Basketball, and Track. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and made many lifelong friends. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
