Luella Jane Conger, 84, a longtime resident of Hallsville, MO, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at The Neighborhoods in Columbia, MO, surrounded by her loving family.
Euella was born on September 23, 1939, in Hale, MO, the daughter of Delbert Leland Kinnison Sr. and Orriss Maudeline (Cornwell) Kinnison. On May 10, 1959 in Columbia, MO, she married Donald Lee Conger and he preceded her in death on November 5, 2006.
Luella could often be found working in the yard, tending to her flower garden, or bird watching, which are things she loved to do. Her love for animals was matched only by their love for her. When she was able, she loved to travel and enjoyed crocheting and doing puzzles. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and NASCAR fan and never missed an opportunity to watch a game or a race. She had an uncanny ability to spot a four-leaf clover which she enjoyed sharing with anyone nearby.
She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by two children, Juanita Jane Conger of Columbia and Donald Duane Conger and wife Sedell (Roberts) Conger of Jefferson City; five grandchildren, Kevin Jennings and wife April, Kala Mautone and wife Dr. Jess Mautone, Kari Mayes and husband William, Joshua Conger and Jazmyn Conger; three great grandchildren, Brenden, Adrien and Temperance; one sister, Roxcie Setzer and husband Julius; one brother, Millard Kinnison and wife Sheryl.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; two sisters, Velma Lee Windsor and Thelma Louise Camlen; one brother, Delbert Leland Kinnison Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024 in Cameron Cemetery, in Hale, MO with Deacon Tony Cunningham officiating.
