Mary Catherine Kinkead

Mary Catherine Kinkead was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away on April 26 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia at the age of 91.

Mary Catherine was born to Artie and Ada (Oldham) Bradley on January 23, 1932, in Columbia.

On May 20, 1956, at her home in Centralia, Mary Catherine married Roscoe Kinkead. They had two children Brenda and Mike.

She enjoyed traveling with Roscoe, playing golf and bridge, photography, cats, watching birds, and nature.  Mary Catherine also really liked watching sports, especially Mizzou football and the St. Louis Cardinals.

She loved spending time with her family, most of all, her grandchildren. Mary Catherine and Roscoe traveled near and far to watch all 5 of their grandchildren in the events they were in. She enjoyed watching them succeed in all they did.

Along with her husband Roscoe, Mary Catherine is survived by her daughter, Brenda Maloney of Monroe City, a daughter-in-law, Wendy Kinkead of Centralia; grandchildren, Brandon Kinkead and wife Amanda of Centralia, Shawn Maloney and wife Kenzie of Colorado, Trevor Kinkead of Centralia, Austin Kinkead of Colorado, and Carter Kinkead of Centralia and great-granddaughters, Elliana and Olivia Kinkead.

Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her son, Mike Kinkead, her son-in-law, Jay Maloney, and her siblings, Dorothy Daugherty, Velma Westbay, Glen Bradley, and Grace Davis.

Mary Catherine was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia.

In accordance with Mary Catherine’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service held.

Memorial donations are suggested to the First Baptist Church in Centralia and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240
