Mary Iva Brechler

Mary Iva Brechler, age 100 of Hallsville, Missouri, died August 23, 2023, at 9:12 am. Mary passed away at home with the comfort of family.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm on August 27, 2023, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia Missouri, with Rev. James Lanning officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia, Missouri.

Interment will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, August 28, 2023, at Rush Lake Cemetery in Curlew, IA.

She was born March 1, 1923, at Laurens, Iowa to Arthur and Emily (Edwards) Davis. On June 1, 1938, she married Laurence James Brechler at Emmetsburg, Iowa.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Arla Benskin, husband Maurice (Ben) Benskin of Columbia, Missouri and two sons, Laurence Gene Brechler, wife Wanda of Paducah, Kentucky and Jeffrey Lee Brechler, fiancé Cheri Lester of Hallsville, Missouri. Seven grandchildren; Roxanne (Benskin) Lambert, husband Mike of Columbia, Missouri, James Benskin, fiancé Jessica Stafford of Sturgeon, Missouri, Christine (Brechler) Hall, husband Larry, Henderson, Tennessee, David Brechler of Paducah, Kentucky, Crystal Brechler, Heather Brechler, and Holly Brechler of Centralia, Missouri, five great grandchildren; Jessica Lambert of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jacob Lambert, fiancé Jordan Williamson of Dallas, Texas, Lauren Hall of Henderson, Tennessee, and William and Jason Stafford of Sturgeon, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her husband Laurence, daughter, Donna Jean, five brothers, three sisters, and one great grandson, Josiah Lambert.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who loved to do embroidery, bake, mow lawns, and attend tractor pulls.

The family requests memorials to be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 120 West Gano Chance Road, Centralia, Missouri, 65240.
