Melvin Dean Hutsell, 87, of Centralia passed away Saturday April 13, 2024, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2024, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia with burial to follow in the Glendale Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
On July 5, 1968, Melvin married Lois Beller and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2001.
Melvin is survived by his children, Deana Griffin (Jim) of Centralia, Lewis Dean Hutsell of Columbia, Billy Lee Hutsell of Enfield, Conn, Lea Ann Reeves (Darrell) of Centralia, Steve Hutsell of Fulton, Judy Prior (James) of Centralia; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Welch, several nieces and nephews.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lois, a daughter Bobby Huss, siblings, Doyle Hutsell, Larry Hutsell, Darryl Hutsell, Juanita Hutsell, brother-in-law, Danny Welch, great-grandson, Schyler, a niece, Misty Post.
Melvin worked for many years at A.B. Chance Company until his retirement.
He loved guns, ammunition, fast cars, western movies and polka music.
Melvin enjoyed square dancing with his mother, but most of all he loved his family, he was a great man and a loving father and grandfather.
