Naomi Ruth Armstrong, 69, of Thompson, went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Praise Assembly of God Church. The family received friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will follow the service on Monday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Naomi was born November 29, 1954, in Mexico, Missouri to Kenneth and Rebecca (Killian) Whitesell. On June 30, 1973, she married Gary Armstrong in Mexico, Missouri. She was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church in Columbia. She was employed for 36 years as a Production Specialist at 3M Company. Naomi enjoyed traveling, reading, studying her Bible and spending time with family and friends.
Naomi is survived by her husband, Gary; two daughters, April Pierce (Kohl) and Beth Paffrath (Caleb); two grandchildren, Carter and Adalynn Pierce; mother, Rebecca Whitesell; siblings, Jeanie Muse (David), Sharon Cromwell and Jonathan Whitesell (Gina); adopted sister, Janice Knigge and numerous neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth in 2018.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Childrens Hospital, c/o Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave., Columbia, MO 65202.
