Public Health in Audrain County has a new face.
The board of the Audrain County Health Department has hired Craig Brace as the department’s new director.
His appointment began November 2.
A news release from the ACHD board said Brace has over 37 years of healthcare leadership experience. ACHD Chairperson Dr. Kathleen Weaver, said in the release: “Craig is an exceptional leader. His track record in healthcare has been extraordinary.”
Brace, one of three finalists interviewed by the board, has, Weaver said “Craig is an exceptional leader. His track record in healthcare has been extraordinary… “Craig was chosen in a formal selection process from a strong field of candidates. He is a highly impressive talent known for his collaborative leadership style and for building high performance healthcare teams.”
He most recently worked as divisional director of marketing for Hospital Sisters Health System Medical Group, a group of over 600 physicians and medical providers with 100 locations in central and southern Illinois.
His healthcare experience spans across serving in leadership positions with healthcare agencies, medical groups and hospitals. And he is no stranger to Mexico, his past work includes serving as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Audrain Medical Center from 1990 – 2002.
