Panther boys win first game of Macon Tournament

Beat Harrisburg 72-57

The Centralia boys basketball team won their first game of the Macon Tournament the evening of Tuesday, January 19.

Grant Erisman goes up for two.

They did so by beating this season’s Centralia Tournament champion Harrisburg, 72 to 57.

Grant Erisman lead Centralia with a game-high 17 points, followed by Jackson Wells with 14 and Nathan Greene with 13 and Kile Chitwood with 10.

Centralia dominated all four quarters leading 22 to 7 at the end of the first,  39 to 27 going into halftime, 59 to 40 at at the top of the fourth and then finishing it off 72 to 57.

Thursday, 6:30 p.m., Centralia plays Kirksville in the second round.

Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., the Lady Panthers play Mexico in the second round of the girls’ bracket.
