The priorities of our church are evangelization, worship, discipleship and compassion. Politics and government are not our priorities. Yet, as we think about the dynamic between the church and the Christian and government, the realization emerges that in the course of our discipleship there must be some concerns the church and the Christian must address. These concerns do relate to government, especially to a government by the people, such as ours in the United States of America.

One concern that the Christian should have is that of Biblical justice. No one group should be marginalized or deemed less important than another group. Christians should be leading the cause in this area as the poor and downtrodden should not be forgotten in matters of justice. The gospel properly applied deals very effectively with this area.

Another concern of the Christian is that of Religious liberty. Religious freedom protects our right to freely speak of and protect our beliefs. These liberties are being challenged greatly in our country and are in grave danger of being removed.
Sanctity of life is another concern that intersects with culture, government and the church. As disciples of the Lord Jesus, we believe in the sacredness of life. Literally thousands of faith based agencies work at placing children in foster homes or for adoption.
