Railroad crossing closure planned for U.S. Route 24 in Monroe City

Weather permitting, Aug. 10-14, U.S. Route 24 will be closed at the railroad crossing in Monroe City, located north of Monroe County Route W, for repair permit work. The road will close at 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 10 and will reopen at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. Detour signing will be in place.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes during this time. Remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel, and put down your cell phone to help eliminate distractions.
