Russell Jay Sheridan, 66 of Hallsville died Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 29, 2024, at Appleman Chapel Cemetery.
Russell was born on August 19, 1958, in Columbia, the son of Marvin Lee Sheridan, Jr. and Betty Sue (Crane) Sheridan.
Russell is survived by his mother, Betty Sheridan of Hallsville, brother, Jonathan Sheridan and wife Louise of Doniphan, MO, sister, Susan Cook and husband Kermit of Columbia; niece, Jessica Keller of Gettysburg, PA, nephew, Tobias Cook of Columbia; great-nephew, J.C. Keller; uncle, Jim Crane and wife Sylvia of Ashland, aunts, Mary Jane Conner and husband Bob of Lees Summit, Carol King and husband Buck of Arkansas, and Joann Duncan of Columbia.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Lee Sheridan, Jr., two uncles, John W. Crane, Jr., and Joe Crane; an aunt, Jeanie Crane.
Russell was a stubborn and tenacious soul that enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
He was a carpenter by trade and was very particular about his work.
