Lady Bulldogs win 60-23, boys win 72-41
It was a good night to be a fan of the Blue and White.
Tuesday, February 14, the Sturgeon High School Bulldogs basketball teams rolled north to play against their historic
rivals, the Madison Panthers
Sturgeon rolled south later that evening with a pair of wins on the books.
The Lady Bulldogs won 60-23 and the boys won 72-41.
The Ladies dominated all four quarters: 10-8 in the first, 24-17 at halftime, 41-21 going into the fourth.
Aydan Wilhite led the Lady Bulldogs and the game with 20 oins, backed up by Grace Thomas with 12 and Brooklyn Dougherty with 11.
It was the same for the boys, only the numbers were bigger.
Sturgeon finished the first quarter up 12-6 and led 47-14 at halftime. At the end of the third they led 69-29.
Jacob Smith and Ben Doss led the team and the game with 20 each. Dawson Brooks scored 10 and Jacob Pollock nine.
Wednesday, both teams play in Cairo and start districts Saturday at home.
