Pastor Eric Hill, Antioch Baptist Church, Centralia

To God Be the Glory, Great things He has done. We are so thankful for what He is doing and going to do through us. We at Antioch want to thank you for your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for us and support us as much as you can, note that we love you. If you had the pleasure of traveling up and down highway 22,you can’t but notice this huge blue building, which will be our new sanctuary. Also, you can’t miss the goodness of God. What a privilege it is to not only to see God’s hand at work, but to be a part of what He is doing. We are thankful for the many blessing He has bestowed on us, again all the glory belong to Him. For He is worthy to be praised. If you would like to come and see what God is doing, we would love for you to come and visit us. Our building program is one of many testament on how much God loves us. To be able to drive up, walk out of a service, only to see God’s beauty at work.

Pastor Eric Hill

We can’t ask for more than that, a consistent reminder that things we be okay, just keep the faith. As a pastor you get the privilege to serve God and people. You get the pleasure to be a part of a lot of people lives, hurts, and pain. While in the main time trying to be there for your own family as well. Let me say this, the same problems that everybody else face comes across our plate to. Which is a good thing. Why, Let me explain it briefly in my on personal testimony. Keep in mind this is not for my glory, it’s to bring honor to God, and to let you know there is help for you. At the age of 8 years old, I invited the Lord into my heart, to be my Savior. Praise the Lord. All the way up unto I finished high school, I was on fire for the Lord. Here’s where the bad, the ugly and the good begins. The bad, I am off to college never been away from home without my parents. So, everything is new to me, nobody standing over me telling me what to do. Big mistake in my life. I begin to get away from serving the Lord, reading His Word and being around Christian folks. You can say life had begun to change, that’s where the ugly comes in, the night life and everything that comes with it. The ugly led to me becoming more worldly instead of godly. To make a long story short I was a part of somethings I can’t walk back. When we sin all we think about is ourselves, so much to the fact, that we don’t give any thought to the consequence. We forget consequence come with its own set of rules, we don’t get to choose the outcome. The main thing we forget is we sin against God. Now the good, I said I would give you a brief testimony, this is where the Lord stepped in. Once I surrender my life back to the Lord. You can say the widow were open, the Lord began to use me in ways I didn’t know I was cable of. It started with becoming a Sunday school teacher, nursing home ministry, jail and prison ministry, then Bible college to become a pastor. As a pastor all you know at first is God is doing something in your life. He has called you to serve, by the way, we don’t get to pick where we go or the people we want to help that’s all up to God. I know I am thankful for that and you should be to, that way we can’t mess it up. So, when He called me to Centralia Mo. I wonder why, and begin to question God, because I been through Centralia but really don’t have any family ties (nothing). I am from St. Louis so there was cause to pause. But God plans and purpose was not mine. Let me say, I am so thankful that He pick Centralia for me to serve. The folks here and around here has showed nothing but love, thank you for that. We don’t know the journey, the reason, the why’s, but looking back on my life. I had to go down that road because of His plan and where He was going to use me. I had to have a testimony for the people, the people I was going to face, the people He was going to place in my life to ministry to. There’s not a person in this world who hasn’t been through the ringer, I like to say broken. As long as we are broken then God can have His way with us. If you haven’t been through anything you can’t help anybody, get through anything. I am going to stop now, but if you need to talk or need help please reach out. I believe I am here for a reason, to pay it forward like people did for me. People I didn’t even know went out of their way for me. Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to pay it forward. If you don’t know the Lord as your Savior, Antioch would like to help you with that. Be praying for us as we will be for you. God bless and we love you all.
