In Mark 4:36-41 we read:

“36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

The Last Days are here !  We live in turbulent times, warned of by prophets for thousands of years.

“29 Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be heard of fires, and tempests, and vapors of smoke in foreign lands;

30 And there shall also be heard of wars, rumors of wars, and earthquakes in divers places.

31 Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be great pollutions upon the face of the earth; there shall be murders, and robbing, and lying, and deceivings, and whoredoms, and all manner of abominations; when there shall be many who will say, Do this, or do that, and it mattereth not, for the Lord will uphold such at the last day. But wo unto such, for they are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity.” (Mormon 8:29-31. See also Matthew 24:3-15,  2 Timothy 3:1-4, and  Doctrine and Covenants 87:5 -7).

“Where can I turn for peace?

Where is my solace?

When other sources cease to make me whole.

When with a wounded heart, anger or malice.

I draw myself apart, searching my soul

Where when my aching grows

Where, when I languish

When in my need to know, where can I run?

Where is the quiet hand, to calm my anguish?

Who, who can understand?

He, only One

He answers privately,  reaches my reaching

In my Gethsemane,  Savior and friend

Gentle the peace he finds for my beseeching

Constant he is and kind, Love without end” (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints  Hymnal #129).

Where can we turn for peace? How can me have peace in the “great storms” of life?

The answer is in and only through Jesus Christ and His Gospel !

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

(Philippians 4:7).

I am sure Jesus’ disciples did all they could to keep their “boat from sinking during the storm”. We must also do all we can. Then, after we have done all this, and tried with all our might, then, the Savior Jesus Christ, will calm our “troubled waters”.

It is my hope that you will reach out to the Lord in prayer and ask, what you need to do to have peace, love, safety and security in your hearts and homes?

I promise, to the sincere inquirer, answers will come. Answers may come through thoughts, impressions, your spouse, scripture or a trusted friend.

As you receive answers, then go forward with faith and follow the Lord’s counsel!

May the Lord bless you and your family, during these Last Days.

In the sacred name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
